A 5-module complete precalculus course begins with young mathematicians exploring linearity, complex number operations as transformation, and the power of the right notation. Module 2 has pupils examining incidence relationships in networks and encoded information in high-dimensional matrices. They also study the arithmetic of vectors and vector magnitude and program video games to show what they learned. In Module 3, class members revisit algebra using polynomial identities, the binomial theorem, and Pascal’s Triangle as they study function composition, graphing functions, and finding inverse functions. Module 4 revisits trigonometry with learners exploring sine, cosine, and tangent functions. They also derive formulas for triangles that are not right and study the graphs of trigonometric functions and their inverses. The final module is divided into three topics: the multiplication rule for independent events; random variables and discrete probability distributions; and using probability and expected value to analyze strategies and make decisions. Teacher materials for each module include exit tickets, solutions, and all copy-ready materials with solutions.
