In order to learn about and appreciate diversity and individuality, children create All About Me books by cutting out and drawing pictures that represent their personal interests, family members, home environment, and local community before making a pledge to be respectful and responsible citizens.

  • Use the All About Me book as a back-to-school activity, allowing children to share about themselves and get to know their classmates
  • Share students' All About Me Books with their parents at Back-to-School Night
Classroom Considerations
  • Send a letter home asking parents to donate any old newspapers or magazines for use in creating the All About Me Books
  • This resource is only available on an unencrypted HTTP website. It should be fine for general use, but don’t use it to share any personally identifiable information
  • Includes a Venn diagram for students to use when comparing themselves with other members of the community
