This Breathing Boards activity & project also includes:

Instill the importance of mindfulness with six breathing exercises. Scholars trace shapes using their fingers, following arrows that tell them when to breathe in and when to breathe out. Exercises increase by counts of breath in and out.

  • Laminate each page to keep it from getting worn too quickly after tracing 
  • Send a set of papers home for learners to practice when they are outside of school
  • Take breathing breaks during the day, encourage pupils to rest their hands on their stomach to promote and feel a deep breath
